The Israel Alliance is a chartered student’s club at the University of New Mexico advocating for the State of Israel.  The club is sponsoring – during the week of March 9 to March 13 (Monday through Friday) – a table adjacent to the Student Union Building (SUB) atrium. Lynn Provencio has previously informed you that during the week we will be supporting Israel, while fact-checking and correcting an exhibit in the SUB atrium called “Jerusalem Dispossessed Photographic Exhibit.” This exhibit is mounted by the recently formed group “Another Jewish Voice.” They are also sponsoring two films at the Guild this weekend – “The Iron Wall” and “Jerusalem: The East Side Story.” The films are highly critical of Israel for, respectively, building a fence to protect its citizens from homicide bombers, and championing a united Jerusalem – residence for Jews, Christians, and Moslems.

The Israel Alliance table will be staffed from 9 AM to 4 PM each day. It will be bordered by large American and Israeli flags mounted on eight foot poles. Four pro-Israel posters (please see Attachments) will be affixed to easels. At the table there will be a variety of fliers and articles making the case for Israel in an historically accurate way.
